CAUTION:

Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT WIRE RH

(a) Engage the wire harness clamp.

(b) Connect the 4 connectors and install the front seat wire.

2. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LOWER LH

(a) Engage the claw to install the cushion shield.

3. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LOWER RH

(a) Engage the claw to install the cushion shield.

4. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK SHIELD LH

(a) Engage the claw to install the reclining adjuster inside cover.

(b) Install the screw.

5. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK SHIELD RH

(a) Engage the claw to install the reclining adjuster inside cover.

(b) Install the screw.

6. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH

(a) Install the reclining adjuster inside cover with the screw.

7. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

(a) Install the reclining adjuster inside cover with the screw.

8. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

(a) Using hog ring pliers, install the seatback cover to the seatback pad with 2 new hog rings.

(b) Connect the seatback cover bracket to the seatback pad.

(c) Install the seatback cover wires.

(d) Using hog ring pliers, install 2 new hog rings to the seatback pad.

9. INSTALL SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD

(a) Install the seatback cover with pad to the seatback spring.

(b) Engage the 4 claws to install the 2 headrest supports.

(c) Using hog ring pliers, install 4 new hog rings to the seatback spring.

(d) Using hog ring pliers, install 11 new hog rings to the seatback spring.

(e) Connect the seatback cover bracket to the seatback spring and install the nut. Torque: 5.5 N·m (56 kgf·cm, 49 in·lbf) CAUTION: After the seatback trim cover is assembled, make sure that the side airbag strap is not twisted.

10. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HINGE COVER RH

(a) Engage the 2 claws to install the hinge cover.

11. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HINGE COVER LH

(a) Engage the 2 claws to install the hinge cover.

12. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK LOCK SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Install the seatback lock with the 2 bolts.

Torque: 43 N·m (438 kgf·cm, 32 ft·lbf)

13. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK LOCK HANDLE ROD

(a) Install the seatback lock handle rod.

NOTICE:

Install the rod as shown in the illustration.

14. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK LOCK SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Install the seatback lock with the 2 bolts.

Torque: 43 N·m (438 kgf·cm, 32 ft·lbf)

NOTICE:

Connect the rod and seatback lock before installing the bolts.

15. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK BOARD

(a) Engage the 2 hooks to install the seatback board, and then attach the 2 clips.

16. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the seatback with the 4 bolts.

Torque: 43 N·m (438 kgf·cm, 32 ft·lbf)

(b) Engage the 2 airbag wire harness clamps to the seat frame.

17. INSTALL SEATBACK SHIELD LH

(a) Connect the airbag wire harness to the seatback shield.

(b) Engage the 2 claws to install the seatback shield.

(c) Install the screw.

18. INSTALL SEATBACK SHIELD RH

(a) Engage the 2 claws to install the seatback shield.

(b) Install the screw.

19. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE NO. 1 LH

20. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE NO. 1 RH

21. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER

(a) Using hog ring pliers, install the seat cushion cover to the seat cushion pad with 10 new hog rings.

22. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD

(a) Engage the hooks to install the seat cushion cover with pad.

(b) Bend the 2 seat frame claws downward.

(c) Install the 2 clips.

24. INSTALL INNER FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH

(a) Engage the 3 claws in the order shown in the illustration, and install the cushion shield.

(b) Install the screw.

25. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH

(a) Engage the 3 claws in the order shown in the illustration, and install the cushion shield.

(b) Install the 2 screws.

(c) Using hog ring pliers, install the rubber band of the seatback cover to the seat frame with new 2 hog rings.

26. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE RH

(a) Engage the claw to install the reclining adjuster release handle.
